The private intranet component of our ASSIST portal provides us all with an opportunity to exchange ideas, views and materials on our focus area. To join the exchanges and have full access to the ASSIST Intranet all you have to do is fill in the following, which will automatically activate your status. Once your application has been processed by the robot, you will within minutes receive an email with the information you need to enter the private sections of our site, all of which are, as you will note, password protected. That's all there is to it.

(We realize that this sign in is a bit of a hassle, and for that we apologize. But as against this, we have a set of useful tools that are fully password protected and, once you have signed in, very easy to get at and use. The site is also well protected against spam. We do have a few reservations about our provider, eGroups, as you can see here, but overall we have found that the advantages easily outweigh the rest.)

And What If You Can't Get in, or Forgot Your Password?

1. Just enter the eGroups home page at http://www.egroups.com
2. Place the email address that you used initally to register in the slot indicated and omit your password.
3. You then just calmly follow the routine, bearing in mind that it will take about two minutes for the robot to send you via email your 'validation number'. (Be sure to check your email to get it.)
4. From there on in, it's quick. Just follow the several instructions and you are back in and fully registered and ready to go.
