Shareware on The Commons

How It Works

Simple really.

You download a copy of a report or working paper from this site that you think might be useful or interesting. If you like it and find it useful, you then send us a token contribution for our work for you. The average runs on the order of ten cents per page (€ or US $). In a few cases we suggest an amount. We then use this money to organize and do the next thing.

You simply make out your check in that rough amount (payable to EcoPlan) and pop it in the main to us at our Paris address as follows.

The Commons (ecopl@n)
Le Frene, 8/10 rue Joseph Bara (At #8, the code is 112.)
F-75006 Paris, France

One of these days we'll work this out with credit cards. In the meantime we appreciate your patience in this old fashioned routine. But still... it works.

That's all there is to it. You have a useful body of work, someone did it thinking that it might at some point be useful for someone like you , and you then make it known that you agree. Not complicated, good fun, and about as useful as these things get.

One small, personal step towards a sustainable planet.

Carshare 2000

In the case of Carshare 2000, this special report has been produced for the Journal of World Transport Policy and Practice through an extensive international volunteer effort under The Commons and is being made available now as "shareware". If you download a copy from our Web site (www.ecoplan.org/carshare/) or receive one in some other way, and find it useful, kindly consider sending a check to the Journal at the following address. The suggested contribution is € 30or US$30.00 (that's 10 cents per page). These funds are used to support the Journal and permit it to organize future public interest initiatives such as this. you are requested to make your checks payable to the magazine to support further pbulic interest editions such as this.
