How the update process works:
We are as of this date (20 Oct.) addressing the 429 members of this specialized forum, and in particular those groups who are suppliers of systems and services to the sector, and inviting them to update their entry that appeared in our last full inventory (Oct. 2006), which you will find if you click here.

Note to suppliers on update process:
Please review your entry carefully to make sure that the short descriptive text and the various URLs and email addresses are current. We ask that you keep your entries to 80 words or less.

If you happen to spot incorrect of missing information on other listings, it would be kind if you would inform us of these glitches as well. so that within the next few weeks we can have a complete and accurate listing in the service of our fast growing field.

INVERS (Germany, USA and Asia)
INVERS provides technology and system support (hardware and software) for carsharing and fleet management projects. Since 1995 have partnered with more than 100 operators in Europe, North America and Asia.

cambio (Germeny, Belgium)
cambio is both: A holding of 11 CarSharing operators AND a Service Provider for CarSharing Software, Call-center, Marketing and Backoffice solutions. Operative experience based on 25.000 own-customers / 800 own-cars in Germany and Belgium plus 15.000 customers in non-cambio-CarSharing operators, served by cambio's Software or Callcenter. Multilingual software not commercially dependant on any hardware supplier for key-lockers or onboard systems.

Our software EBuS rebuilds nearly all of administrative and managing processes a carsharing business needs. The system is able to communicate with three different On Board Systems (Invers, convadis and Drive IT) so far - even in one fleet. EBuS is multilingual and highly customizable. The software has been used for more than 10 years, managing 1300 cars for 30,000 users. This is 25% of the German carsharing market and is used by carsharing providers all over Europe.

Netherlands

Greenwheels :
One of the world's oldest, smartest and most viable carsharing organizations. It's worth learning Dutch to understand what they are doing. Currently offers services in 70 Dutch and 20 German cities, and actively expanding internationally.

Wheels4all (Netherlands)
Wheels4all is a Dutch non-profit car sharing organization and aims at rural communities. For lack of efficient public transport in rural areas the number of 'second cars' in rural communities is very high. It started in 2003. The organization started out as a coöperative, but in five years time grew so fast it recently underwent an organizational reform. Wheels4all is now a regular company with all share in a independent foundation.

Switzerland

Convadis (Switzerland, Europe, North America)

Commonwheels (UK)
A Community Interest Company, it aims to establish an affordable integrated network of car clubs across the UK through a combination of direct operations and through supporting individuals, community groups and other organisations to set up schemes in their locality. All the affiliated clubs able to use Commonwheels' resources and will be integrated into a national network.

Metavera (Canada)
Metavera is a leading developer of software for the Carsharing industry. Our Autovera application handles enrollment, reservations, member services, fleet, and billing in a manner that is scalable from a small or new Carshare to the largest Carshares in North America. Autovera is a fully hosted, enterprise-calibre web application in use since 2001. North American customers include AutoShare (Toronto), PhillyCarShare (Philadelphia) and I-GO (Chicago). Autovera integrates seamlessly with OpenCar, Invers, and Convadis in-vehicle technologies. .

Nelson Carshare Cooperative (Canada)
Service provided in small communities of 1,500 to 15,000 people. Currently have expansion program plans for several cities and towns in the East & West Kootenays, from Rossland/Trail on the West to Fernie on the East, with Golden on the North and the USA boarder on the South.

Opencar Networks (USA)
liveFleet is an in-vehicle carsharing system that connects to a variety of reservations and billing systems and powers over a thousand shared cars in dozens of North American and European communities.. Biggest customers are City Carshare, Philly Carshare, and Vancouver's Cooperative Auto Network. (Principals spun off a private entity from City Carshare to provide sales, support, hosting and development of the technology developed for them.)

Designated Parking Corp. (USA)
Manufacturer of devices for reserving parking spaces on and off street. Devices available with remote control (activated from inside the car) or by mechanical keys. No external power required. Currently used by 2 Car-Shares in Paris France.

NTUC Income Car Co-Op (Singapore)
Started in 1997, the Car Co-Op was setup to test out the car-sharing concept in Singapore and to develop viable business models for both the social and corporate user segments. The Car Co-Op has been taking the lead to deliver the car-sharing services to Singaporeans together with other new car-sharing operators like WhizzCar and KahShare.

WhizzCar (Singapore)
Started in 2003 and is one of the first few carsharing operators has supported the carsharing movement in Singapore and helped in the expansion of the carsharing network. The parent company Popular Rent A Car is one of the leading car rental companies in Singapore.
