Bibliography

Page to be extended and rewritten.

7 November 2006: This page has yet to be updated.

This cooperative program and site on the Web is of course but part of a much broader process that has decades of thinking, trials and achievement behind it. With this in mind, the purpose of this small corner of the site is to provide a useful guide to the best of the available print literature. We anticipate developing this portion of the site in iterations and with the help of our partners.

As a first step in this direction, we have selected the following from a much longer bibliography which you will be able to access in full in the Play Streets piece by Paul J. Tranter and John W. Doyle. Let us have your suggestions for inclusion here -- hopefully with a few words (say, 20-60) of background to help orient the reader. Eventually, we shall probably organize this in several broad categories, the first two of which might well be (a) Walk to School, and (b) Other.
