John Whitelegg and I have just been discussing the possibility of a special Gatnet issue of the Journal of World Transport Policy and Practice. We would need to have someone ready to take the lead in organizing the special issue of course, and hence this note to you all.

(And for your information: John, as well as being founding editor of World Transport, is a Professor of Geography with a specialty in matters of transport, environment and sustainable development issues at the University of York and the Stockholm Environment Institute. He has long been concerned with women's issues in the transport and environment sector).
