Origins

GreenDrinks Paris has two almost simultaneous origins. The idea was originally planned and set in motion in Paris by Eric Britton of The Commons and the New Mobility Agenda in the winter of 2007 -- doing nothing more than adapting the Green Drinks international model to our particular circumstances in Paris. The idea was simplicity itself: to provide a casual but effective means for bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds in our fair city who share an interest in the, let's call it, "green agenda", very broadly defined. We needed some kind of meeting place to get to know each othr and beat the bushes for new ideas, projects and people.

That was the idea and so on this base this site was set up and the first handful of invitations sent out in April 2007, thinking to test the idea. And what happened next/ Well a group of three young French tigers showed up and said they wanted to run Green Drinks themselves. What excellent news for your servant; so since that date they have been active and going a great job at giving this fine idea life in Paris.
