This presentation was created in the summer of 1998 in an attempt to provide a lively 15
minute brainstorm
introduction to our best thoughts on the relationship between this awkwardly named concept “sustainable development”, and its
broader
relationship to decision making in the new century. We reproduce it here with
only a couple of
minor editorial changes. In our view it still very much holds.
