  • Monaco is this year hosting the first international New Mobility Exposition in parallel with the 2007 EVER program, which is also providing stands displaying new ecological vehicle and fuel concepts, as well as information on and demonstrations of renewable energy technologies and implementations.

The New Mobility exhibits are aimed to inform and answer questionsfrom the main participants -- namely representatives of city government and their principal staff, advisors and suppliers of services, equipment and council -- about leading edge developments, projects, services, produces and deomonstrations in the four specific targeted areas, as you will see on the menu to your left. Carsharing: A sector in accelerated movement

We are already well into this very different 21st century and developments on the World Carshare scene are moving very quickly ahead, to the point where carsharing is among the fastest developing New Mobility services on the world transport scene. For most of the last two decades dominated by European operators, most of which on a small scale and with most of the action in Switzerland, Germany and Northern Europe more generally, over the last half dozen years the scene has started to expand and evolve considerably.

Today carsharing services are offered in some 700 cities and communities in more than twenty countries, and enough experience has now been accumulated with modern carsharing that it has emerged as a serious business and transportation option that certainly every city in Europe and many other parts of the world should have sophisticated information on for the day that they are ready to move ahead with planning and eventually operations of their own.

    Who will be there

This first World Carshare Expo in Monaco in consultation with EVER 2007 is inviting leading suppliers of services and support for the sector, to participate in the Exposition and thereby to make contact with the mayors and city authorities who at the end of the day, are the ones who make the most important decisions about how carsharing is going to work in their community. The following categories of suppliers are being invited to participate:

    • Carshare operators
    • Full service suppliers: Carshare groups available to work with you to plan and implement your system
    • Techncial suppliers: counsel and cooperation
    • Suppliers of software packages
    • Public agencies supporting carsharing
    • Specialized consultants.
    • Vehicle suppliers (including of alternative technology vehicles)
    • Insurance companies ready to insure carshare operations
