Bill L. Long

Mr. Long has been Environment Director of the Paris-based Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) since 1988. His Directorate carries out a wide range of programs on environmental policy analysis and formulation in support of the Organization’s 26 Member countries. Mr. Long also served as Associate Administrator for International Activities at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, during which time he had special responsibilities as Deputy U.S. Negotiator for the Montreal Protocol on Ozone Layer Depletion. He also served with the U.S. Department of State in a variety of positions relating to the foreign policy aspects of environmental protection and natural resources management.
