Mr. Russell is Acting Director General of the Air Pollution Prevention Directorate at Environment Canada. Over the past three years, Mr. Russell has developed and articulated Canada’s policy positions in international negotiations dealing with the issue of climate change. He now oversees and coordinates Canada’s strategies, both domestic and international, relating to: stratospheric ozone depletion, climate change, urban smog, hazardous air pollutants and acid rain. Mr. Russell also held senior advisory roles within Environment Canada’s Atmospheric Environment Service on a range of policy issues and government-private sector relations.
