Mr. Bruce assisted in the establishment of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and currently serves as Co-Chair of IPCC’s Working Group III. Among his many other activities, Dr. Bruce is also Chair of the Canadian Climate Program board and is a member of the Canadian Global Change Program Board. He has written and presented many papers and articles, especially on climate change, water resources, disaster mitigation and related topics. His most recent awards were the IMO Prize of the World Meteorological Organization, and the degree of Doctor of Environment Studies, honoris causa, from the University of Waterloo.
