Ms. Nichols is the holder of three patents for the Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) and author or co-author of over 50 publications. She recently retired from the Ford Motor Company as an Alternative Fuel Consultant, having also held position with Ford as Manager of Electric Vehicle External Strategy and Planning Department, Manager of the Alternative Fuels Department and Principal Research Engineer. Dr. Nichols currently serves on the International Organizing Committee, International Symposiums for Alcohol Fuels. She has also been a member of numerous other committees, including: Technical Advisory Committee, Oakridge National Laboratory; Technical Advisory Committee, CALSTART; and the Scientific Advisory Committee, Echlin Corporation.
