Mr. Buxton is Director of the Transboundary Air Issues Branch of Environment Canada, with responsibility for Acid Rain programs, NOx/VOC Management Programs, Bi-national and Tri-national Air Quality Agreements and the development and negotiation of international treaties under the UN - ECE (Protocols on Persistent Organic Pollutants; Heavy Metals and NOx). He has been a negotiating team member for a number of international Conventions and agreements. Mr. Buxton has served on numerous international committees, including Canadian representative of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund (Ozone Protocol). He has received many awards, including the Canadian Government Award of Excellence and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Citation of Excellence for Ozone Layer Protection Contribution.
