Get Involved!

In this large and all too often uncaring world of ours, what is it
that you and I, and our families and neighbors, can do to make a difference? The answer is that by working together and making full and imaginative use of the tools at our disposal, a great deal. Which is where this high-energy, citizen-based, trickle up process comes in by way of a very good example.

Once you have had a good look at the site, here are four quick things you might do right now to get started:

1. Check out the Leading Edge Database
A good first move is to check out the @World Database here, which provides world coverage of all groups, programs, cities and events thus far registered in the @New Mobility Database. You may find inspiration, help or partners for your own projects or events. Try it here.

2. Participate in the @New Mobility Events
We are on the constant lookout for outstanding projects and events which are appropriate for world wide study, discussion and collaboration. The latest and current of these is the June 2001 virtual conference around the Shell Workshop in support of the planning for its new Center for Sustainable Transportation, Energy and the Environment. Check it out here.

3. Make your group, project, or interest known
Sign in to the Leading Edge database, following the simple guidelines it provides, identifying yourself and eventually your group and the details of your event, program or eventual availability for cooperation. This will allow others to find you when they are looking for local or other partners or sources.

4. Register your Event
The Coming Events listings here are good places not only to look for what is going on, but also to post your own planned events. Keep us all informed. Maybe your event could make for a good virtual support activity as well. Let us know.
