A Car-Free Group Charter
Here's the Group Charter concept in a nutshell.

This is not yet our Group Charter. It is the kit, the raw materials out of which we can now together fashion it.
You are invited to comment and provide your suggestions on the following working draft and notes. We anticipate a considerable number of changes in the weeks ahead. This component of the organizing effort is important, since it is in fact our strongest statement, invitation, challenge to the groups who may eventually be interested to join in some way and add their presence and efforts to ours.
It is doubtless going to be strategic and good practice to try to install a common language and overall philosophic thrust which serves to bring these very different statements and commitments into a broader whole, with our common thrust to sustainability and social justice. This may take the form of a Preamble, perhaps along the lines which for now we have placed into the draft statement for the Mayors or that for the Citizen Charter.
