The Backdrop of Real World Experience

We have now had more than half a decade of experience with the Car Free Day concept, and over that period more than a thousand trials and projects of all sorts, sizes, and degrees of success (see CFD Timeline). These first years of experience have fortunately corresponded almost exactly with the developing of the World Wide Web, which now permits us to have quite good access to the results and lessons of this experience.
