Subscriber services/support
This program consists of five main components available to subscribers:
- The Advisory/Brief: You immediately be sent the latest version of your signed Brief in PDF form, upon subscribing and signing the confidentiality agreement.
- Updates: This report treats a living on-going movement, in part because the newness and vitality of these projects means that additional information is coming in and being analyzed regularly over this first full year of operations. At the same time we are in contact with other city bike projects, suppliers and concerned public agencies around the world, all of which further deepens our information base and eventually the report itself. Thus, additional information and analytic materials are regularly incorporated into the updated editions of the report, and full updates will be made available at least twice during the year following your subscription.
- Support/Advisory Services: Subscribers have free access to up to four hours of hotline support as part of their subscription. These consultations can be organized via telephone, videoconferencing, or personal visits. Subscribing cities and agencies receive a favored rate for further support services as you plan and implement your project.
- Debriefs/News: Private communications of exception information;, heads-ups on projects, events and techniques; and suggestions.
- Accelerated Learning Sessions:
Subscribers will receive Invitations to participate in at least two planned expert workshops over 2008 (one in Europe, one in North America), bringing together leading experts and supplier groups with representatives of city government, local leaders, and other concerned groups who are in a position to make these policies and measures happen in their cities and/or to support them so that they happen in a way that will benefit the entire community.
If your city or organization is interested in hosting a workshop, we invite you to get in touch here.

National Partner Editions:
We are seeking national partners to work with us to prepare special editions, including in other languages. These sponsored can be distributed by the national partner in their name to cities and concerned agencies in their country. If you have any leads for us on this, they would be most appreciated. Our goal is to get this report into the hands of as many decision makers and sources of counsel as possible.

Why subscribe and support the project?
Just in case this is not immediately clear, pardon us if we list briefly the reasons why we think that you, if you are concerned about the problems set out here both in general and in the context of the cities closest to you, might wish to give serious thought to getting behind this project:
- First and most immediately, because it puts into your hands a cost-effective, potentially very high impact working toolkit and support process for an important new mobility option for your city at a time of great need.
- Second, because your subscription, your financial support, will permit us to fund the important work behind this project and the other projects underway in the "Reinventing Transport in Cities" program behind it.
- Third, our goal is to get this report into the hands of as many decision makers and sources of counsel as possible. Including in poorer cities and countries in the developing world. To this end, we have arranged that each city or agency in the advanced economies who signs on to the program, will be invited to nominate a city or public interest group in the developing world for whom we can make available a copy of the Briefs at no cost and as a gift from you. Should you have no city or agency immediately in mind, please do contact us since we have a list of those who have indicated their interest in receiving copies under this North/South exchange program.
- And finally as a public vote of confidence in the importance of these challenges and your belief that we need to start to deal with them in practical terms as best we can. And right now!
Special rates:
Unfunded NGOs, groups working in the developing countries, university libraries, students, unemployed, and our local implementation partners. Please contact us for details.
