There is a lot you can do to help, which, given the dimensions of the challenges before us all, you can well appreciate. Here if you happen to have time or access to resources are a handful of things that we could really use:
- Website Help Needed:
- The entire website needs to be cleaned, optimized, and rendered fully Netscape/Opera compatible.
- We need a great LOGO!
- Graphics help needed for logos, pamphlet design, posters, etc. (We like the Adbuster standard, just to give an idea on this.)
- Help with bringing on line in an efficient form video, sound, etc. -- especially in good time to inform people for planning their future projects.
- Our ASP database is very good (Thanks Kim), but needs further work and fine tuning.
- Local and regional volunteers needed to help us spread the word.
- Nominate ECFD & others of the projects singled out here for high profile international and sustainability prizes. We have seen with the Stockholm Environment Prize, this really helps to get the message across that this is serious stuff and is leading somewhere important.
- Funding? We can think of some good ways to spend it and strengthen this whole long term effort. (On the other hand, even if no one does, we still are going to get the job done. Money can help, but it can never replace passion, responsibility and knowledge.)
Because, as our friends in Pune India put their own commitment so well: "We are in this for the long slog!"
