Get Involved!
In this large and all too often uncaring world of ours, what is it that you and I, and our families and neighbors, can do to make a difference? The answer is that by working together and making full and imaginative use of the tools at our disposal, a great deal. Which is where this high-energy, citizen-based, trickle up process comes in by way of a very good example.
Once you have had a good look at the site, here are three quick things you can do right now to get started:
1. Check out the @World Sustainable Transport Database
For this all you have to do is go first to the @World Database which provides world coverage of all groups, programs, cities and events thus far registered in the World S/T Database. Including in your own town and maybe even neighborhood. Try it here.
2. Make your group, project, or interest known
Sign in to the database, following the simple guidelines it provides, identifying yourself and eventually your group and the details of your event, program or eventual availability for cooperation. This will allow others to find you when they are looking for local or other partners or sources.
The Coming Events listings are good places not only to look for what is going on, but also to post your own planned events. There is a more general @ccess calendar, and then one specifically for Car-Free and Car-Less Days (such as cycle days, commuter challenges, etc. as well as car free per se.)
