What's New in the Conference?

PLEASE NOTE:

The Zero Emissions Strategies Conference is as per the first week of October in a 'hold' mode of operation. We are in the process of seeking additional support for continuing it, and at the same time are in the process of preparing a critical assessment of accomplishments and shortcomings of the August/September pilot run. This will be posted here at some point in the coming month. In the meantime, discussions are invited and papers and materials will be up loaded into the appropriate sections as received.

This section offers a handy update on the latest activities in the conference. We ask that new participants take the time to review the full chronology of the project in the order experienced by the meeting. You should find it useful and, hopefully, interesting. You may also want to make a habit each day of visiting "Today's Web Detour", a reminder that not all good things in the world are necessarily found within the confines of these pages

What's New Page Contents

NOTE: You will need to register in order to be able to access the full conference. If you are not yet sure, have a look around, starting right here. There is already a lot to see. But for the full function, interactive version of what is going on, you can just click the following icon. This will give you the opportunity of turning what is otherwise little more than a passive bulletin board into the sort of exciting space that physical conferences at their best can offer. There is of course no charge.

. . . Starting Point - Discussions under the interactive conference section

As per the last week in September, the main action has shifted over to the other half of the conference at The Center@Hamline, with the exception of the Podium presentations which are still being filed here as received and can be followed directly through the main Podium page. Again we suggest that if you wish to follow these issues -- and certainly if you wish to share your comments on them with the meeting -- you take the several (less than five) minutes that are needed to register for that section of our meeting. Easy step-by-step guidelines for this will be found at the Registration Desk.

. . . Day-By-Day - The Virtual Conference: Weeks 1-8

From the very beginning this conference has been intended as a group learning project. If you wish to benefit from this process, we suggest that you spend some time with this chronological report on the findings and the events of these last weeks. It may seem a bit wasteful of your valuable time at first glace, but persevere a bit. You may find some unexpected rewards.

These can be accessed directly from here.

. . . The Participant's's Contribution

The success of this project -- a 100% collaborative venture -- depends altogether on what you, the participants bring to it. You may wish to have a quick look here at The Role of the Participant, and then come on back here to continue your review of accomplishments and plans, before actually moving into the conference itself.
